What makes Canada Maids Network Ltd. different?
We simply use strict hiring procedures and quality control standards. Our team is reliable, honest and trustworthy. We go through large filtering processes to find the right people to send into your home. After that, we ask ourselves if we would trust our staff to come into our homes. We also never use independent subcontractors to do our work.

All of our employees have been screened and have had criminal record checks performed before they start working on our team.

We like to clean your complete home every time we visit you. Many services will only clean parts of you home per visit, where as we like to do a complete and thorough job.

We are insured and our maids are bonded, which helps protect our customers if an accident or injury happens on your property. We are very proud of our people and proud of what we do, and it shows in the house cleaning you'll receive.

We compete on a level that is definitely competitive for what you are paying. We want our customers to feel like they are getting much more than they paid for. We will fold and iron your laundry, do your dishes, wash your walls, steam clean your carpets, and even detail your appliances if you so request. We simply give you a general check list of completed tasks every time we leave your home, and maids are not allowed to off a point unless it is completed to the highest standard.

Do you guarantee your work?
We do guarantee our cleanings. If something is missed or not done properly, that was able to get done within the booked time frame, we do come back to finish the job. Simply call us the within 24 hours of the cleaning to schedule a re-visit at no charge to you.

For all new clients, we ask that they keep in mind that our fist time visit to their place will be a testing ground for how many hours they need to book for our repeat visits. For a first time visit we estimate a time over the phone with the client, and within that time we will complete our general checklist to the best that our maids can within the time booked.

Our customers do have to trust our judgment if we say more they need more time. And don’t worry; we will not try to up sell you, for the simple fact that we can move on to another cleaning as soon as yours is done. So, it is in our benefit that the cleaning is done in an efficient mount of time.

Are the maids trustworthy?
Our maids all have criminal background checks, and are bonded and insured. We will only send maids to your house, that we would trust in ours. We only send screened and reliable maids to your home.

What makes you more expensive than a private maid?
Our rates are competitive with most other high quality cleaning companies. Our rates are usually higher than a private maid for the simple fact that we always travel with our own liquid cleaning supplies and our maids are uniformed, bonded and insured.

Are employees bonded?
Canada Maids Network Ltd. Is an insured and Bonded company with Wawanesa Insurance for your protection.

A bond is insurance that compensates you in case a CMN employee is guilty of theft.

Are employees insured?
Canada Maids Network Ltd. carries liability insurance with Wawanesa Insurance.

How do your rates work?
We are very competitive based on the level of service that you receive. We have a 2 maids for 1 hour minimum for any cleaning that we go to. After that, you are charged per every half hour that we are in your home until the job is completed. For our first clean we give you an estimate based on your square footage, and the number of bedrooms, bathrooms, and your general feedback about your home ect.

Discounted rates are available for customers who book 4 cleanings or more with us.

Are there contracts?
We only require multiple cleaning contracts if you are wanting a discounted volume rate. Please keep in mind that our services are guaranteed, and we will come back to finish a job if something was missed. So you can be assured safety in your contract. Please keep in mind if many things were missed, you may have to book more time for our next visit.

Do you bring in all supplies?
In some cities we bring in all the supplies, and in larger ones we tend not to. Simply because there is no parking available in the larger cities, and we can only bring the liquid supplies, unless specifically requested otherwise, at which point there would be a minimal charge for a driver. However, in many cities we do bring in all supplies where we can, as to make it much easier for our customers. Please call your cities office to find out all details.

Do the same maids visit my home every time?
We always try our best to send out a team of maids to each cleaning. Sometimes we may only have one maid coming to your home due to an illness or tough scheduling. We do, however, always try our best to keep the same person coming back since they are familiar with your home and your needs. We can even try to switch teams at your request, as you may find out that another team was more accurate with what you wanted done in your home.

Do I have to be home when the maids come in?
Many people like to leave their keys with the maids in a safe spot around the home, or even leave a key with us at our head offices. Some people prefer to be home during a cleaning. We do prefer someone to be home for the first clean so they can show us what exactly they needed done and they can see first hand that we do work hard within the time allotted, so that if we do need to book more time there is no misunderstandings.

Keys that are left with us are coded, locked up and cross referenced.

Why does the one-time cleaning or first cleaning take longer than the following ones?
The first time we visit your home, we like to do a more detailed general clean; an initial scrub down, so that the following cleanings are a simple maintenance clean.

For first time visits, so allow 1-2 hours longer than the following visits. This is a normal procedure, as a house with a lot of buildup will take longer to clean than one that is cleaned often.

How do I prepare, I have never used a maid service before?
We usually bring a checklist to our cleanings. We can either follow our checklist, or simply follow a list that you have left out for us in priority sequence. We will need you to let us know your specific needs over the phone, so that we can make sure we have a good idea of what you want. Then let us know of any special circumstances such as pets that may be home, extra pet hair, smoking or non-smoking, key instructions, or any other specifics about your home.

Please keep in mind we do have to tidy up your place before we begin to clean your home. This means that we have to remove clothing, papers etcetera from the floor, do the dishes, put away clothing and other clutter. This is our main time killer, as we cannot begin cleaning until all mess is tidied up. It takes quite a bit of time to pick up, move and even clean these items before we start cleaning the home.

We don’t mind tidying up, as we are getting paid to be there, however your cost will be lower if you tidy up a little before the clean. Sometimes all a person wants us to do with our time is tidy up, and not so much make their kitchen sparkle. It’s really a matter of preference, so please let us know your preference.

How many days a week do you work?
We work Monday through Saturday, although our Saturday rates are slightly higher.

What are your arrival times?
We call customers once the maids are dispatched to their place to make sure that we can get into their home, unless prior arrangements were made. Our teams of maids each have about 4-6 cleanings per day, so we try to be accurate with customers, however we do have to leave a general window, as we may get hung up at a previous job due to inaccurate bookings of times, or dirtier than usually homes.

We like to leave our customers with either a morning or afternoon arrival slot.

We make every effort to arrive on time, but some things are out of our control. We ask that you understand this if we are running behind. If you have an important timing issue we will do our best to try to accommodate it.

How many maids do you send to my home?
We like to send 2 maids to a cleaning. The odd time it may be only one person or even up to three people if we are having scheduling difficulties for that time. But in general, we try to send two maids.

How do you accept payment?
Payment is due at the time of booking. Bookings are held by a valid credit card number. Since we are busy, we only book in customers who leave a credit card number with us, as this prevents us from running into situations where people cancel on the same day of the cleaning, thus causing our schedule to get out of order. Customers will be charged 50% of their cleaning up to a maximum of $200 if there is a cancellation for any cleaning, unless our office is given 24 hours notice. If we arrive at a client’s home who promised to be home, and no one is there, the same amount is charged to the credit card.

We accept payment in cash, Visa, MasterCard and Amex. Full payment is due at the time of arrival before the maids start working.

What if something breaks?
We are insured in case of an unfortunate accident. Please let us know if there is anything specific that we should take extra care around or notify us of any special circumstances before we come into your home.

What if I forget about the cleaning?
We call our clients as our maids get dispatched to you home. If our maids are dispatched, and can't get in to your home, you will be billed for 50% of your cleaning up to a maximum of $200. This is a minimal fee that is in place to cover the cost of our transportation, and our employee wages as they travel to and from your home.

Do you sell gift certificates?
Yes we offer gift certificates, and we do sell many of them, as they can be a great gift. Gift certificates are valid for one year from the date of purchase.
